PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Tereasa Jamison is a clinically licensed social worker in the states of Ohio and Delaware, and a nationally Certified Public Manager with over 33 years of correctional and forensic experience. Tereasa joined VitalCore Health Strategies (VCHS) in June 2023 as a statewide Behavioral Health Director. In September of 2024, she was promoted to Vice President of Operations, overseeing the Delaware Department of Correction healthcare contracts. During her 30+ years in government, Tereasa served in various capacities across three state agencies including, but not exclusively, correctional officer, clinician, mental health administrator, bureau chief for two different state agencies and deputy director. Tereasa spent over 24 years with the Ohio Department of Correction (ODOC). Tereasa worked closely with NAMI Ohio and served on the Attorney General’s Task Force on Criminal Justice and Mental Illness, participated with the Criminal Justice Coordinating Center of Excellence promoting CIT throughout Ohio, specifically within the ODOC, and a member of Mental Health America of Ohio. Tereasa is a member of the Delaware Chamber of Commerce. Tereasa earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The Ohio State University and has built a distinguished career specializing in behavioral health, project management, policy development, budgeting, and leadership. She was one of the original ACA trainers for the revised restrictive housing and mental health standards and a past conference presenter. Since joining VCHS, she has continued to demonstrate her expertise in supervision, compliance, and relationship building while ensuring quality healthcare to the incarcerated individuals in the state of Delaware.
