PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

Theresa (Terry) Satterfield has been a member of the American Correctional Association (ACA)since 1986. She has served on her local chapter’s, the Maryland Criminal Justice Association (MCJA) Board in some capacity from then until the present. Terry is currently a Private Consultant. She is retired from the State of Maryland where she worked most recently as the Grants Planner and an Administrator of the Leadership Development Institute with the Maryland Police and Correctional Training Commissions. Terry has been in the field of training for over 30 years. She was a certified instructor in Law Enforcement and Corrections with the Training Commissions. Terry was a Regional Field Coordinator, with the National Institute of Corrections Academy (NIC-A) and has served on the Boards of Directors for the MCJA and the Maryland Correctional Administrators Association. Terry served on the International Association of Correctional Training Personnel Board for approximately 25 years in numerous capacities. She has also participated on several national leadership committees. Terry has done training for the National Institute of Corrections, the ACA and the American Jail Association(AJA). In addition, she has received numerous service and Presidential awards from various Associations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology & Sociology from Towson State College and a Masters of Science Degree in Guidance & Counseling from the Johns Hopkins University.
