PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY

In 1998, Angela began her career in corrections at Lunenburg Correctional Center in Virginia, soon transferring to Central Virginia Field Unit #13 as a Senior Correctional Officer. During her tenure, Haule served as the facility’s Hearings Officer and Officer-in-Charge. After dedicating over 7 years in the adult system, Angela made a career shift to the juvenile system eager to make a difference. In 2005, she received her first opportunity as the Hearings Sergeant at Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Center where she also assumed the responsibilities of Interim Institutional Training Officer, Acting Administrative Lieutenant, Administrative Captain, Shift Commander, Community Coordinator, and Community Manager. Those positions allowed her the opportunity to experience many functions of the operations such as serving on the internal audit team, SOP and Reducing Isolation in Youth Facilities (RIYF) committees, and managing. In 2022, Angela became the first Institutional Investigator for the Virginia Department of Juvenile Justice, and in 2023 earned certifications in private investigation and detection K9 Handler. She returned to Bon Air JCC in July 2023 as a Special Advisor to the Superintendent. Angela received her Associate degree in Human Services from John Tyler Community College. She also attended Strayer University majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resource Management. When not serving the Commonwealth of Virginia, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
