ACA-Project ECHO: Enhancing Education, Training, and Healthcare in Corrections in Hepatitis C Viral Infection Care, Elimination and Beyond [CE] Room 103 B Primary Community of Focus: Prisons & Jails Overview: ACA-Project ECHO is a nationwide educational network designed to enhance the capability of correctional healthcare providers to care for hepatitis C viral infection, especially in the setting of HCV elimination. ACA-Project ECHO has provided educational sessions over the past year focusing upon HCV care in the correctional environment. The project also has much broader implications for correctional healthcare, specifically in subject matter expansion including nursing, psychology, MOUD and potentially even peer activities within the correctional setting. This session describes the first 1.5 years of ACA-Project ECHO activities and plans for expansion in the next year. Learning Objectives: • Recognize and appreciate the accomplishments and challenges faced by

ACA-Project ECHO during its first year in enhancing the knowledge of correctional healthcare providers in treating HCV infected patients. • Learn about several new correctional healthcare initiatives involving psychology and nursing training and MOUD under the guidance of the ACA-Project ECHO team. • Be introduced to an effective peer education program entitled NM PEP (New Mexico Peer Education Program) as an essential component of the HCV elimination program going forward.
