Brief Overview We all hear a great deal about AI these days — the risks, the conveniences and the hype. In reality, most of us are still using AI primarily as a tool to help edit documents. Meanwhile, there are very real and immediate challenges in corrections: staffing shortages, contraband, drug use and overdoses, declining officer morale and the financial limitations that tie all of these together. Technology only matters when it helps us address our biggest problems. In this session, we will focus on how AI can help us tackle these challenges head-on and, just as importantly, how we can financially justify the investment required to do so.
