Participants will examine strategies for designing, coordinating and sustaining evidence-informed programs that prepare individuals for success well before release—while also building the external partnerships necessary to support a safe, connected transition back into the community. This presentation will highlight the Montgomery County Department of Correction and Rehabilitation’s approach to establishing and sustaining integrated program partnerships supporting reentry. Focusing on strategies and partnerships within secure confinement, the discussion will include approaches to solicit and integrate program partners into daily operations while also building pathways for continuity of services during court outcomes and post-release support. Specific programs relating to workforce development, SUD treatment and recovery, education services and a wide spectrum of other reentry programs will be highlighted.
