The Switch to a Digital Addiction Treatment Protocol: Challenges, Successes, and Reallife Tales from North Dakota DOC [CME|CEU] Room: 311 Primary Community of Focus: Substance Use Disorder Overview: Transitioning to a new treatment model is challenging — but it can also be transformative. This session will describe the transition undertaken by North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (ND DOCR) from a paper-based, highly prescriptive protocol to a 12-week cognitive-be haviorally based treatment curriculum delivered through group facilitation and digital journaling. This session examines the shift from scripted programming to process-oriented groups, with 6-month insights on both implementation challenges and opportunities for deeper engagement, stronger relationships, and more individualized care within structured correctional treatment settings.
