Gynecologic Care in Custody: Evidence-Based Updates and Practical Strategies [CME|CEU] Room: 321 Primary Community of Focus: Healthcare, Clinical Overview: This workshop will review common gynecologic conditions affected women in custody. We will equip correctional health professionals with the latest evidence for screening, assessment, and treatment for abnormal uterine bleeding, vaginitis, contraception, Pap smear and mammogram recommendations, and perimenopausal symptom management. This presentation will also provide participants with practical strategies for trauma-informed gynecologic care in custody settings, where patients have high rates of prior sexual trauma. Presenters will review updated
the signs and symptoms of the psychopathic personality and discover what it is like to be “Inside the Mind of the Psychopath.” Learning Objectives: • Describe three key aspects of the origin and historical evolution of the concept of psychopathy. • Identify the genetic and two environmental • Demonstrate an understanding of two issues in managing the psychopathy in correctional settings. Moderator: Christopher Cochran , Correctional Training Sergeant, Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office, Bourne, Massachusetts Speakers: Dean Aufderheide , National Mental Health Expert, American Correctional Association, Alexandria, Virginia factors as well as diagnostic criteria and three distinctive traits comprising psychopathy.
