Integrated Approaches to Dementia Care: Clinical Management and Custody Considerations [CME|CEU|CERP] Room: 321 Primary Community of Focus: Adult Corrections Overview: As the correctional population ages, dementia and cognitive impairment are increasingly shaping facility operations, clinical care, and safety. Addressing these challenges requires coordinated approaches that bridge custody and healthcare perspectives. This session begins with The Moss Group providing an overview of key considerations for custody staff, including recognizing cognitive decline, adapting supervision strategies, strengthening collaboration with health services, and applying lessons from community-based dementia care.
