Welcome to ACA’s Congress of Correction – Pittsburgh
WELCOME
I am honored to welcome you to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, for the American Correctional Association’s 156 th Congress of Correction. It is especially meaningful to gather in a city that reflects the very spirit of our profession — resilience, innovation and transformation. Pittsburgh’s evolution from its industrial past to a modern hub of technology and progress mirrors the work we are doing in corrections every day: adapting, improving and building a stronger future. This year’s Congress offers a robust and forward-looking program designed to meet the challenges of today while preparing for what lies ahead. You will find a wide range of workshops and sessions focused on the most critical issues facing our field, along with opportunities to engage with emerging technologies, innovative practices and new ideas shaping corrections nationwide. Our exhibit hall will once again serve as a centerpiece of the event, bringing together leading partners
and solutions that support your work. What makes this Congress truly special, however, is you. The knowledge, experience and dedication of ACA members are what drive meaningful progress in our profession. I encourage each of you to take full advantage of every opportunity—ask questions, share your perspectives and connect with colleagues from across the country. These interactions are what turn a conference into a catalyst for real change. I would also like to recognize the many individuals whose hard work makes this event possible, including our sponsors, exhibitors, partners and the host committee. Their commitment helps ensure that ACA continues to deliver a first-class experience for correctional professionals. Most of all, I look forward to the opportunity to reconnect with many of you and to build new relationships that strengthen our shared mission. Every Congress leaves me inspired by the passion and professionalism of our members, and I have no doubt this year will be no exception. Thank you for being here and for your continued dedication to the field of corrections. I hope your time in Pittsburgh is both professionally rewarding and personally fulfilling.
