Dear ACA Conference Attendee,
August 15, 2024 As Nashville-Davidson County Sheriff and co-host of the American Correctional Association conference, it is with great pleasure I welcome you to Music City, USA. We are truly pleased to have you here and thank you for your service and dedication. I hope you find the next few days beneficial and take pride in your correctional profession. I understand how crucial it is to stay informed on the latest laws, trends, and tools to assist with everyday duties; this conference will help you do just that. As those who serve the public, we must all strive to be the best and participating fully this week is one way to ensure you are a better professional when you go back to your community. Take this opportunity to share your experiences with fellow attendees and also learn from them at the same time. While in our amazing city, I hope you will soak in some of our sights and sounds. You are only steps from Broadway where you can really get a taste of Music City by visiting one of the many honkytonks, going back in time at the County Music Hall of Fame and Museum, or walking through the “Mother Church of Country Music,” the Ryman Auditorium. Additionally, a few short miles from downtown is the world famous Grand Ole Opry and shopping at Opry Mills. Whatever your interest, I am sure you can find it here.
