Sustaining Proficiency Through Training: An Army Approach Room 202-A The Army’s approach to training allows organizations to prepare and execute small unit missions all the way to full scale combat operations. In the Army correctional environment, we use these same ways of training to accomplish initial training and annual sustainment training for staff. This deliberate training can often be difficult to conduct due to various constraints. As such, planning, resourcing, validating and assessing training allows organizations to maximize time and proficiency while ensuring staff are ready to begin their duties or increase their knowledge on daily and emergency procedures. This presentation will provide organizations a way to conceptualize, plan, assess and conduct training to fit their needs.
