B-1F Clinical Practice Updates 2023 (CE, CME) Grand Ballroom 12 Track: Medical Sponsored by the CCHA Clinical Practice Updates Working Group This workshop will provide participants the clinical guidelines as well as an update on correctional health care that are pertinent to providers. The session will address recent changes and upcoming trends in health care. After attending the session, participants will gain an understanding in caring for patients through the changing guidelines in clinical practice. Learning Objectives: 1. Participants will be able to summarize a clinical overview of new areas of medicine. 2. Participants will be able to assess scope of health services in ever changing services of incarcerated populations. 3.Participants will be able to outline recent advances in clinical care. B-1G Incorporating Staff Wellness into Suicide Prevention Training in Indiana: A Review of Results After 6 Months (CE, CERP, Y CE)

Indiana Department of Corrections has incorporated staff wellness into suicide prevention training using a presentation that was developed in partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. Data collection on presentations will have taken place for six months at the time of this conference and we hope to share results. Participants in this workshop can expect to learn about the presentation and see samples of the presentation. The workshop will also cover how IDOC has rolled it out system wide and the learning that took place as a result of the rollout. Learning Objectives: 1. Participants will be able to outline how incorporating staff wellbeing into suicide prevention education could drive positive outcomes for staff. 2. Participants will be able to implement this customizable, innovative presentation into their department’s training cycle. 3.Participants will be able to identify the impact this presentation has made on staff based on pre and post surveys completed for this presentation.
