A-3G Evaluation and Treatment of Sex Offenders in the Correctional Setting (CE, Y CE)

A-3F Tracking Sentinel Events Online and Reporting Daily Call Using Online Sentinel Event Log (CE, CERP, CME) Grand Ballroom 12 Track: Medical Sponsored by the ACA Healthcare Committee An Online Sentinel Event Log (OSEL) allows our facilities to report on Sentinel events in real time and gives the ability to have reports pulled in several ways. It also allows for historical data to be kept and for updates to be added to reports from previous entries. This presentation/workshop will give participants the information to begin an online sentinel event log and daily call by providing the purpose of OSEL and its benefits to medical/mental health personnel, Department of Corrections personnel and patients. It will discuss the daily report and OSEL call that identifies offenders that may need changes in their health care, mental health care or level of custody. Learning Objectives: 1. Participants will be able to identify the events that would require reporting to the OSEL and identify patients that may need further discussion on the daily call and allow for identification of offender needs (Medical, Mental Health or Custody). 2. Participants will be able to promote the process of setting up a daily call that discusses the OSEL and allows for discussions between vendors and TDOC about the particulars of each entry. 3. Participants will be able to appreciate the benefits to having the ability to develop different reports from the OSEL and the daily call.
