The same week the CDC included the incarcerated population amongst those most vulnerable to infection. While there has been only one reported case fatality due to Monkeypox on August 30, 2022, the number of cases has been rising rapidly. As of August 31, 2022, there have been 18,417 cases diagnosed throughout the country, with 167 in Ohio and 1,870 in Florida. By attending this presentation, you will find out about diagnosis, prevention, treatment and mitigation strategies. We have learned a lot through COVID-19; let’s put those lessons to work to keep our patients and our facilities safe.
