Emmy Award-Winning Actor, Author, Director & Producer Monday, Jan. 30 9–10:30 a.m. Canary Ballroom H enry Winkler has enjoyed over four decades of success in Hollywood and continues to be in demand as an actor, producer and director. Winkler found massive success in the iconic role of Arthur Fonzarelli, aka “The Fonz,” in the TV series Happy Days . During his 10 years on the popular sitcom, he was nominated for numerous awards and his famous leather jacket and Fonzie’s lunch box became part of an exhibit at the Smithsonian Museum in 1980. Today, Winkler co-stars as acting teacher Gene Cousineau on the hit HBO dark comedy, Barry . In 2018, he won his first Primetime Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy for his role on the series. Besides appearing in numerous film and television roles over the past four decades, Winkler has written, directed and produced a wide variety of films and television programs and is a New York Times bestselling author. Winkler has also had a lifetime struggle with undiagnosed dyslexia. He has worked tirelessly to bring awareness and support to children who learn differently by advocating for changes in the education system and informing parents and teachers about learning challenges. His charitable work includes Honorary Chairman of United Friends of the Children; Founding Member of the Children’s Action Network; the first National Honorary Chairman of the Epilepsy Foundation of America; National Chairman of the annual Toys for Tots campaign. Henry’s presentation is inspiring and entertaining. His humorous anecdotes and inspirational life lessons about overcoming adversity in his storied career in television and entertainment delight groups of all ages.
