D-1J “People First: How Army Corrections is Dealing with Staff Recruiting, Retention, and Wellness” Grand Ballroom 9/10 Track: Other — Staff Training Are you satisfied with your agency/facility’s staffing levels and is your staff healthy and resilient? If not, then this workshop is for you. The field of corrections is challenged as is other professions with recruiting and retaining quality talent. This session will provide insight on how the Army’s priority of “People First” has developed a framework for the staffing shortage. Following the four “Rs” of recruitment, relocation, retention and resiliency is a process for “talent management” and staff wellness. Learning Objectives: 1. The participant will know the different types of “recruitment” and “relocation” options currently used to attract applicants. 2. The participant will know the different types of “retention” options currently used for talent management for quality employees. 3.The participant will know the different types of “resiliency” options currently used for staff wellness.
