C-1C CINAS to ORION: Developing and Implementing a Robust Risk and Needs Continuum Crystal Ballroom C Track: Jails In 2008, the Florida Department of Corrections Corrections (FDC) embarked on a journey to modernize its assessment capabilities by developing and implementing its first web-based risk and needs system known as the Corrections Integrated Needs Assessment System (CINAS). This presentation outlines how the FDC is operationalizing the CINAS Continuum spanning from reception and incarceration through offender supervision to create a continuum that includes the community and other local correctional service providers. We will also provide insights to recent advancements including automated self-assessments, expansion to local correctional agencies through CINAS Lite,

community outreach through ORION and pilot development of the High-Risk Case Management system. Learning Objectives: 1.
