Johnson Rehabilitation Center’s processes in successfully implementing an overnight child visitation program. It has shown to be an effective treatment pathway that helps incarcerated women cope with leaving small children behind. Our program even allows incarcerated grandparents this opportunity as well.
C-2E Clinical Practice Guidelines and Updates (CE, CME) Room 127A Track: Healthcare This workshop will focus on clinical guidelines and updates in Correctional Medicine and the delivery of care. The session will address recent changes in treatment and follow-up in providing care to our patients. After attending this workshop, participants will gain an understanding of upcoming treatment options, recognize the challenges in caring for patients in a correctional environment and recognize ethical perils in clinical practice. Learning Objectives: • Summarize a clinical overview of new areas of medicine. • Assess the scope of health services of incarcerated populations. • Outline recent advances in clinical care.
