under the purview of medical departments. Even so, IPC was not a primary focus for many correctional health providers. The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to IPC that involves medical, security staff, behavioral health staff, facilities management, quality assurance staff and administration. This workshop will highlight best practices for building a robust, and responsive infection control program that has the buy-in and support of all key stakeholders within a correctional system. Additionally, the workshop will highlight the importance of applying quality assurance (QA) frameworks to infection prevention and control. Learning Objectives: 1.Participants will be able to define the health and safety challenges posed by security processes and procedures and creative approaches to overcoming them. 2.Participants will be able to develop multidisciplinary, cross-functioning teams (including security, medical, IT, QA and administration) that are able to work collaboratively to prevent and control the spread of infectious diseases within prisons. 3.Participants will be able to identify the security challenges posed by infection
