provides an overview of the Core Competency approach to suicide prevention training for mental health providers. Competencies are reviewed through the lens of adaptation to the unique needs of correctional settings and populations. The program addresses evidence-based clinical care (e.g., establishing an evidence-based treatment plan) and clinician self-management (e.g., managing one’s reactions to suicide) skills. Training includes provision of self-reflection and clinical resources, psycho-educational content and case studies. Learning Objectives:
