I am pleased to welcome you to New Orleans, Louisiana, the site of ACA’s 152 nd Congress of Correction. In a city known for hospitality and cultural diversity, I can’t wait for corrections professionals from across our great country and from every corner of the globe to come together in friendship and explore new methods to advance the cause of corrections. Bringing corrections professionals together in New Orleans, known for its melding of influences from many traditions, is a perfect way to develop and elevate the very best in correctional practices and procedures. As always, the women and men of corrections will be treated to ACA’s informative workshops, a memorable general session, a host of continuing education opportunities, a cavalcade of top-quality

exhibitors, top-notch speakers and networking opportunities to enrich every correctional professional who joins us in the Big Easy. I want to thank our host committee for their terrific performance in putting together a superb conference experience for all attendees. As always, I am especially looking forward to building and renewing relationships with the outstanding women and men who make up my chosen profession. I have always been renewed by your energy, your selfless dedication to the highest principles and your desire to help change the lives of your staff and the incarcerated population you serve.
