The Virginia Department of Corrections sought ways to deliver mental health and wellness programming to inmates and institutional staff during the early stages

of the COVID-19 pandemic. The needs of these populations gave birth to The Wellness Channel. The Wellness Channel is a series of DVDs created by stakeholders from across the agency to address the physical health, mental health, wellness and educational needs of the populations served. Learning Objectives: • Participants will be able to identify the development and processes The Wellness Channel completed to build programming which targets the diverse wellness needs of inmates. • Participants will be able to assess relevant data and outcomes related to The Wellness Channel. • Participants will be able to identify and prepare for potential challenges that may arise when attempting to meet the needs of a diverse target audience.
