The Utah Juvenile Justice Services Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program ensures secure care is provided to juveniles and provides ways for the agency to keep track of program fidelity. In creating a 12-week DBT program, we ensure juveniles receive care that is accessible, consistent and specific to individual needs. Learning Objectives: • Understand how the Behavioral Management System plays a role in our Secure Care Facilities in managing, tracking behavior and treatment. • Review the DBT programming essentials such as 12-week DBT calendar, Mindfulness library and additional resources. • Understand the Program Coordinator Role and why this is important to our standard of care for our clients. B-2A NYS DOCCS Office of Special Investigations — Escape from Dannemora: The Real Story Room 209 A-C Track: Prisons The New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS) will present an inside account of the 2015 escape of two murderers from Clinton Correctional Facility — a maximum security prison in Northern New York. The real story is even more compelling than the news reports and the Showtime dramatization. The initial presentation will include an accurate description and chronology of events from planning to escape to capture and beyond, video of the actual route through the prison to the manhole taken hours after the escape and the Governor’s coordination of law enforcement which led to the capture of inmate David Sweat and the death of inmate Richard Matt. Learning Objectives: • Understand the ramifications of compromised security and civilian staff.
