The Lois M. Deberry Special Needs Facility Description: The Lois M. Deberry Special Needs Facility (DSNF) is a maximum-security prison in Nashville, Tennessee, operated by the Tennessee Department of Corrections. It opened in 1992 and houses prisoners with multiple and complex medical/mental health problems. The Cumberland River flows along the facility’s west boundary and Riverbend Maximum Security Institution is located immediately south of the facility. The mission of DSNF is to provide acute, sub-acute, long-term acute, chronic and palliative health care that is high quality, safe, integrative, efficient, cost effective and ethical, in a safe and secure environment. Additional Information: Lockers will be available to lock billfolds, purses, phones etc. prior to screening into the facility. A drivers license will be necessary for identification. Must be 18 years of age or older.

Correctional Work Center is a Minimum/ Medium Security Facility instilling convicted offenders with solid work ethics and providing programs with the objective of releasing them back into our communities with a clear direction of their future. We accomplish this by providing structured educational, vocational, substance abuse and work release opportunities. Through our sound security practices and classification process, we strive to provide a safe and humane environment for both the offender and staff.
