Date: Tuesday, Aug. 6 Pickup time: 9 a.m. Time of tour: 10 a.m.–12 p.m. Lunch provided after tour. Number of participants: 25 Travel time and distance: 30-40 minutes (depending on traffic), 19 miles Plymouth County Sheriff’s Department — Plymouth County Correctional Facility Description: The Plymouth County Correctional Facility can hold 1,800 multiple classification inmates, sentenced and trial, including county, state, federal and immigration within one facility.

Department of Correction — MCI Framingham Description: MCI Framingham is a medium-security facility for female offenders and is noted to be the oldest female correctional institution in operation in the United States. Date: Monday, Aug. 5 Pickup time: 9 a.m. Time of tour: 10 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Number of participants: 20 Travel time and distance: 42 minutes, 20.7 miles Department of Youth Services Description: Metropolitan Boston Region’s Metro Youth Service Center (MYSC). The MYSC is a hardware secure residential facility located at 425 Harvard Street in Dorchester, Massachusetts. The MYSC currently houses four detention units serving both the detention and committed populations ages 12-21. Date: Sunday, Aug. 4 Pick-up time: 10 a.m. Time of tour: 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m. Number of participants: 12 Travel time and distance: 25 minutes, 5.1 miles Middlesex Sheriff’s Office — Billerica Jail and House of Corrections Description: Billerica Jail and House of Corrections is a medium-security facility for the Middlesex County offenders and is noted to be the largest county in Massachusetts. The Middlesex Office tour will be highlighting the Veterans Unit (HUMV), PAC Unit (18-24-year-old offender program) and the Restrictive Housing Unit Pod E.
