Presenters, who are all members of ACA’s Sustainability-Oriented and Environmentally Responsible Practices Committee, will provide best practices on: how to develop a Green Team; methods for examining environmentally responsible practices and strategies; and the implementation of “Green ACA Presentation Proposal — How to Create and Effective Green Team 3 Team” initiatives. Real-life examples of successful project outcomes, as well as lessons learned, will also be shared. Objectives: Understand what a Green Team is and why multi-stakeholder engagement is important; understand strategies and processes for implementing a Green Team in a correctional facility from both institutional and community perspectives; and how the results of implementing a Green Team can have short and long-term benefits for people living and working in correctional facilities, as well as the natural environment.
